In March this year Saavn had announced his merger from JioMusic. JioMusic is an online music streaming app similar to Reliance Geo's Saavn. At the time of the merger, RIL had said that the purpose of the company is to become the world's largest music streaming service with this merger. Now it seems that the company is going to fulfill this objective.

According to a report by Telecom Talk, JioMusic is being re-branded as JioSaavn, which is Reliance's flagship music streaming platform. About three weeks before today, there was news that some Reliance Live subscribers are getting 90 days free Saavn Pro subscription. This subscription was being received from Reliance Jio's SIM for the first time on logging into Saavn.

It has been said in the report that JioSaavn will be a subscription-based music streaming service, in which some part will also be free. Geo Subscriber Music can listen in free, but for Ed Free Streaming and Unlimited Download they have to get Pro Level Subscription. The good thing is that live customers will receive an initial 90 days of subscription free of charge, in which users can easily test the collection, service and features of new platforms. After the free trial ends, the customer will have to either pay for the subscription or use the free part except the premium features.

At present, there is no information about how much its monthly subscription charge will be, since there is already a Music Subscription app like Wynk and Gaana in the market, then it may be that the price of Reliance JioSaavn is also equal to the rest of the app due to competition.
